Taurus USAis based in Miami and owned by Forjas Taurus, S. A, a publicly traded company based in Brazil that manufactures a variety of consumer and industrial products. Through its subsidiaries, the company manufactures and distributes the Taurus, Rossi, and Heritage product lines.

Taurus firearms are however more likely to encounter problems than a Glock or Beretta for example. The quality and speed of service from Taurus, in spite of the lifetime warranty has also often been problematic. Further, some of their guns seem to be more problem prone than others.
